New environmental friendly pipeline buoys

On December 28, 2023, the Nanjing Navigation Bureau of the Yangtze River organized and implemented the installation of special navigational aids for the operation period of the Nanjing and Yan Cross River Channel Project (South Section). Four new ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene(UHMWPE) environmental friendly pipeline buoys provided by Liaocheng Huazhong New Materials Technology Co., Ltd. made their debut, marking a further improvement in the "green" navigational assistance level of the navigation aids for the South Nanjing section of the Yangtze River.

The ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) environmentally friendly pipeline buoy has many advantages such as one-piece molding, bright colors, beautiful structure, long service life,  impact resistance, and low maintenance costs comparing with traditional steel pipeline buoys. The body structure design is more novel, and the explicit effect and recognition have been greatly improved.This is also the first time that new material buoys have been used in pipeline markings on the Yangtze River waterway, which is more in line with the ecological and environmental protection requirements of the Yangtze River.
