India takes pride in its military self-sufficiency, often emphasizing 'Made in India' in the defense sector. However, the reality is that India, too, relies on Chinese manufacturing. The Indian Ministry of Defence had previously placed an order with the domestic company SMPP for 186,000 pieces of boron carbide ceramic bulletproof vests.
